The Nikkei is up 109 points today in trading in Tokyo.
On Wall Street, the Dow gained 128 points
And the Nasdaq lost 8.


Later today, the U.S. government posts new numbers on third quarter economic growth. Analysts expect that the u-s economy grew at a rate of about 2 percent from July through Deptember. Factset, a financial data provider, is also predicting that U.S. employers added 122,000 jobs in October.

Walmart says due to a technical problem - its website mistakenly listed some big ticket items like treadmills and LCD monitors for as low as $9. Excited consumers took to twitter to share the incredible savings and that's when Walmart realized there was a glitch in the system. The company has not yet said if it will honor the deals and actually ship those $10 treadmills.

And speaking of Twitter, the popular micro-blogging network is going public today on the New York Stock Exchange.  And while Twitter has more than 230-million users, it has yet to turn a profit.
