The Nikkei is up 344 points today in Tokyo.
On Wall Street, the Dow fell about 15 points by the close of trading Friday.
And the Nasdaq was up just over a point.


Wall Street is holding out hope for more economic stimulus from the Federal Reserve after last week's disappointing unemployment report.
Traders are also keeping a close eye on tensions between the U.S.and Syria.

We could get a look at the next version of the iPhone this week. Apple will hold an event Tuesday where the company is expected to take the wraps off a high end iPhone that's a slight upgrade from last year's model as well as a lower cost model that's made of plastic instead of aluminum.

U.S. car and truck prices hit a record average price last month of $31,252. More businesses snapped up pickup trucks and individual buyers loaded up cars with options.

And a rise in tourism is helping the  battered Greek economy. Revenue from tourism helped that country's  economy shrink less than expected this spring. As a result, Greece may finally emerge from its long recession sometime next year.
