SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - A 60-year-old Springfield man has pleaded guilty to sexually abusing two young female relatives, according to information from the Greene County Prosecuting Attorney.

Scott Blair entered the plea Tuesday in Greene County Circuit Court in connection with incidents reported to police in 2012, prosecutor Dan Patterson said. A sentencing hearing is set for Dec. 19.

Blair admitted guilt to first-degree charges of statutory sodomy, attempted statutory sodomy,  child molestation and attempted child molestation of one girl ages 6 to 8 at the time of the abuse about eight years ago.

That girl never reported the abuse at the time, but became concerned about seven years later when her younger sister was spending a lot of time with the man. She told her mother about the incidents and the girl’s parents contacted Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Patterson said.

In the case involving the second sister,  Blair pleaded guilty to two counts of statutory sodomy and child molestation.

No plea agreement was involved in the plea, Patterson said, and Blair will be subject to punishment up to a sentence of 10 years to life on each of the four most serious counts.
