SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - A from Springfield man has been charged with 15 felony counts involving sex with two family members -- ages 3 and 5.

Ronald J. Mazza, 33, is charged with three counts of first-degree statutory sodomy/deviate sex with a person under the age of 14, one count of statutory rape, one charge of sexual misconduct with a child under 15, one count of first-degree promoting child pornography, three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, and six counts of possession of child pornography, according to online court records.

A probable cause statement filed in the case says that a woman called police to report she was looking through the family computer for photos to use on Christmas cards when she found images of her children engaging in sex acts with Mazza.

She told investigators she found more than 80 images and three videos containing pornographic images on the computer, which she said Mazza had taken out of the home on Sunday and returned with it.

The statement says officers seized the computer, Mazza’s cell phone, and a flash drive media stick from the home and after confirmed that the images were on the devices.

Mazza was arrested and during an interview at the Greene County Jail admitted he had been taking photos of the children in the nude and had engaged in sexual acts with them. He told investigators he had been sending and receiving such images with others through the Internet for several years, according to the probable cause statement.

Mazza is currently being held in the Greene County Jail in lieu of a quarter million dollar bond. Bond conditions also include forbidding him to have contact with his alleged victims or other children or to possess or use devices with access to the Internet.
