SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Missouri State Lady Bears will go on the road for another tough test this season as they face one of the best teams in the country in Louisville.
The Lady Bears have had plenty going on off the courts the last few weeks. Head coach Kellie Harper is out until she can travel after giving birth to her son.
The Lady Bears have lost three straight games including their latest loss to Quinnipiac 75-65 on November 26th. Coach Jon harper said they took this break time to work on the team.
"We needed to work on our program these last three days like I said we had three pretty long practices and we just focused on our stuff. We are going to practice now and we are going to work on some Louisville stuff. Obviously they were ranked fourth in the country they lost last night to Kentucky which is another top ten team in a really close game. They are a legit top five team. They are really good. They played in the national championship game last year and are pretty much returning that entire roster," said coach Jon Harper.
"They are going to come to out with a lot of energy seeing that they lost to Kentucky. So they are going to come out with a fire in them and we just have to have that same fire going into that game," said Lady Bears forward Bry Snow.
