Kickapoo Falls in Quarterfinals

The Chiefs were handed their first loss of the season in the quarterfinals.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo.--Kickapoo came out for the game. 1st possession for the Titans and it's a fumble. Tony Grant recovered the huge turnover. But on 4th and goal Kickapoo can't punch it in, Titans force the turnover on downs.

In the first quarter, Anthony Cooper hit John Fuchs. 7-0 Chiefs led.

But it would be all Titans from then on. Thomas Guanidine found Brenner Clemons for the long touchdown reception. 12-7 Titans after two missed extra points due to the wind.

Later Ganaden tossed it up and Monte Harrison who came up with great touchdown catch. Titans go on to win 51 to 14.

"Yeah, we couldn't protect they were bigger, faster, stronger than we were up front. Normally, some other teams have been stronger than us but we were able to be faster to get the edge. We just weren't faster than them today and we really struggled with that," said Kickapoo Coach Joel Wells.

"I am taking a great deal away from this team all the friends i have made through out the season. The great effort they put out," said Kickapoo senior quarterback Anthony Cooper.

"We told our seniors that one of these days we are going to win a state title and they will be part of it. Getting the program really going the last couple of years. 6 wins to 11 and really getting the program to where we want to be," said Coach Wells.
