John Ashcroft to Speak at Evangel University Tomorrow

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Ashcroft, a Springfield native, will be the keynote speaker on Tuesday during a Constitution Day chapel. Ashcroft has been a regular presenter at the university for more than 35 years, speaking at graduations, homecomings and lectures.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft will speak at Evangel University Tuesday.

The university says its Department of Social Sciences will celebrate "Constitution Day" by hosting Christian Citizenship Week, Sept. 16-20.

Ashcroft, a Springfield native, will be the keynote speaker on Tuesday during a Constitution Day chapel.
Ashcroft has been a regular presenter at the university for more than 35 years, speaking at graduations, homecomings and lectures.

Lectures and activities will be held throughout the week and will culminate on Friday with a chapel service featuring Dr. Byron Klaus, president of Assemblies of God Theological Seminary and vice president of Evangel University.
