SPRINGFIELD, Mo-Friday, there was a dedication to the new Jim D. Morris Basketball Complex at JQH Arena.
Things kicked off outside the arena at the new south entrance with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The new complex is 13,370 square feet, which includes top of the line facilities for the Bears and Lady Bears.
The $3.7 million project showcases brand new offices, locker rooms, player lounges and team meeting rooms.
An open house event will be held Tuesday, January 7th from 4-6 PM.
"The offices are first class the lockers are first class. We are second to none we have such a great facility to play in at JQH Arena and now we have the office and locker space to match," said Lady Bears Coach Kellie Harper.
"We love Springfield. Kath and I have been here 52 years. This is where is all our kids got there schooling and that's what means a lot to me. To be a part of what John Q Hammons has started puts me on a high level and makes me feel good," said Jim D. Morris.
