Located at the FMO pavilion, off Republic road, right by Hilton Garden Inn

Three of the best chefs in the region will bring their culinary skills to Farmers Market of the Ozarks (FMO) to compete in the 2nd Annual Iron Chef of the Ozarks Competition on Saturday, Sept., at the FMO pavilion. The competition will begin at 9:00 a.m. and the 2013 Iron Chef will be named at 12:30 p.m.

All proceeds of the event are to support One Sole Purpose, a local non-profit organization that was created in 2010.

Iron Chef competitors bring the best top chefs in the area that all focus on farm to table dinning in their respective establishments. The chefs include Bill Griffiths with Farmers Gastropub, Matt Hales with the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel, and Wes Johnson with the soon to open Metropolitan Farmer.

Chefs will be asked to prepare three dishes, which include an appetizer, one side dish and one main course. All dishes will highlight a unique market ingredient revealed the day of market and all dishes will focus on using locally grown and produced products from FMO.

Live music begins at 8:00 a.m.  and will run throughout the day with various local artists. In addition to the food competition, FMO vendors will also be sampling products throughout the market day
