KINGSTON, Mo. – An inmate has escaped from the Caldwell County Detention Center, according to a press release from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Brian J. Adkison, 23, is said to have escaped the jail just before 11:30 p.m. last night barefoot and in white boxer shorts.

According to Sergeant Sheldon Lyon, Adkison may have escaped through the ceiling of his cell and out through a window in the front office.

Adkison is described as a white male with brown hair and eyes, 6 feet tall and 180 pounds.

He was being held on numerous charges, including rape and kidnapping and officers from several departments are currently searching for him.

Adkison was arrested in late June after a manhunt that lasted almost a week.

Sergeant Lyon says that Adkison shouldn’t pose any threat, but anyone facing certain charges and in the right circumstances could be dangerous.

Anyone with information regarding Adkison is asked to contact the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department at 816-586-2681 or the Missouri State Highway Patrol at 816-387-2343.
