Alec Baldwin is joining the ranks of the cable news pundits.
The award winning actor is set to host a weekly current affairs program on MSNBC.
The show, called "Up Late," will air Fridays at 10pm Eastern and is set to debut sometime in October.
Baldwin is a long-time political junkie - and has hinted in the past he might run for office someday.

The "Modern Family" star has been named the highest-paid primetime television actress by Forbes magazine.
The publication reports the Colombian actress made an estimated $30 million from June 2012 to June 2013.
It's the second year in a row Vvergara has taken home the honor.
Tied for second place - Kaley Cuoco of "The Big Bang Theory" - and "Law & Order: SVU's" Mariska Hargitay - both with an estimated $11 million in earnings over the past year.

Bethenny Frankel says don't count on seeing her in a wedding dress anytime soon.
The reality star tells Redbook, "I don't know that i would get remarried. It's too soon to think about."
Frankel described her recent marital split and child custody battle as difficult.
In brighter news her new talk show - "Bethenny" - premieres next Monday.
