Active fast water rescues have been taking place in Hidden Valley mobile home park, Old Mill Road subdivision and Hulland Park Drive.  May be multiple fast water rescues.  Turkey Creek looks like it has temporarily crested unless we get more rain.  Water is coming from south in the Turkey Creek basin.

Currently, everybody is engaged in notification, evacuation.   Please, if you are in the Turkey Creek area, this particular event is significantly worse than the ones we've seen.  Move to higher ground.

There are no reports yet of injuries coming in to the Emergency Operations Center.

Reporter:  What are you telling families?

Cell phone service still works right now, so that is the best way to contact your family if you have any living in the Turkey Creek area.
The area of this particular event is small enough we can handle it best this way.

We have opened Fire Station 5 for shelter for people who had to evacuate.  From there we will make more extensive  arrangements once we have a handle on it.
