Hey Shannon! Relationship Question for September 20, 2013

"I am staying at a friend's house this weekend to attend a wedding. My friend has a dog and she told me I could leave my stuff out and the dog wouldn't mess with it. So you can imagine my shock when I returned and found my three pairs shoes chewed up. I don't exactly make a ton of money, so replacing all three pairs is not an option for me. I feel like my friend should offer to replace at least one pair. How do I handle this situation without hurting our friendship?"
