SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- If you've got limbs around your yard after this morning's heavy storms, there is a solution.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- If you've got limbs around your yard after this morning's heavy storms, there is a solution.

The City's Yardwaste Recycling Center (YRC) accepts limbs that were downed as a result of the storms. The Franklin Avenue and Lone Pine Recycling Centers accept only a limited amount of limbs.

For larger quantities, you'll want to go to the YRC. It's open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. today. Click here for more details.

For those of you who had severe damage, root balls and trunks over 6" across must be taken to the Springfield Sanitary Landfill. Call the City's Recycling Hotline -- 417-864-1904 -- staffed Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. with automated information available 24/7.

Republic residents can take their debris to the residential yard waste drop-off site located at the Wastewater Treatment Plant on the north end of West Avenue. The drop-off site will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30. During the upcoming week of July 1 the site will be open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. except the site will not be open on the July 4 holiday.
