SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Springfield’s famous Gillioz Theatre may not be auctioned after all.

According to Philip Rothschild, the president of the Springfield Landmark Preservation Trust, which owns the Gillioz, the Guaranty Bank may cancel or postpone the foreclosure sale scheduled for tomorrow.

Rothschild sent KOLR10 an email Thursday night and says further details will be provided as soon as possible.

Earlier this month, the bank said it planned to call the mortgage on the theatre.
