Former NFL Quarterback to Speak at College of the Ozarks

POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- Former NFL quarterback Jay Schroeder will speak at College of the Ozarks Wednesday night.
POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- Former NFL quarterback Jay Schroeder will speak at College of the Ozarks Wednesday night.

Schroeder will talk about the obstacles he faced both on and off the field, including the discovery of his son’s brain tumor when his son was only 6 years old.

Schroeder was a quarterback in the National Football League for 11 years and retired in 1994. He played college ball at UCLA in 1980, before he was chosen in the third round of the NFL draft in 1984, by the Washington Redskins.

The event starts at 7 p.m. in Jones Auditorium and is free and open to the public.
