SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A fire ravaged a house in West Springfield Tuesday afternoon, but a single occupant was able to escape on his own without injury.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A fire ravaged a house in West Springfield Tuesday afternoon, but a single occupant was able to escape on his own without injury.

According to Springfield Fire Marshal Kevin Binam, it is unknown what started the house fire, but the home would most likely be a total loss.

The house, located near the intersection of South Hemlock Ave. and West Madison St, started to burn around 2 p.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
