Evangel University Postpones New Student Orientation

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.--Evangel University is anticipating more than 50 new students on campus this week, but its new student orientation activities have been cancelled for Monday, due to the snow and travel conditions. New students include first-time freshmen and transfers.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo.--Evangel University is anticipating more than 50 new students on campus this week, but its new student orientation activities have been cancelled for Monday, due to the snow and travel conditions. New students include first-time freshmen and transfers.

“All new student orientation activities will be condensed into one day, Tuesday, Jan. 7. ” said Dr. Sheri Phillips, acting vice president for student development. “We are encouraging our students to watch their Evangel email account for updates.”

Evangel residence halls are now open, and regular food service will begin on campus Monday morning, Jan. 6th, according to spokesman Paul K. Logsdon.

Evangel’s spring semester classes are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014.
