The City Council approved the use of reserve funds from the one-fourth cent sales tax fund to start the project.

The rest of the major elements of the park will be crowd funded through Crowd-it.

The park is set to be built on the western part of the Jordan Valley West Meadows site.

A Route 66 Park Kick Off Party will be held tonight from  5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Mother's Brewing Company.
