SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Drury men sported pumps, stilettos and pink flip-flops on Wednesday for the fifth annual "Walk the Lane in Her Shoes" event to raise awareness of sexual assault and abuse.

The goal for the event is to make women on campus feel more safe.

"Only five percent of rapes are reported," says Juan Franco, event coordinator for Drury's Intrafraternity Council and student at Drury. "So we want to make sure that if something happens, women feel comfortable talking about it. We hope it never happens here, but if it does happen we hope they feel comfortable talking to everyone."

The University offers a special section on the website where students can report incidents of sexual assault or abuse.

Drury University fraternities sponsored the event, but all male Drury students were invited to participate.
