Douglas County Issues Warrant for Man Charged with Forcible Sodomy

AVA, Mo. -- A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a man from Ava who did not show up in court this week to face charges of forcible sodomy.

AVA, Mo. -- A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a man from Ava who did not show up in court this week to face charges of forcible sodomy.

According to online court records, Leonard J. Scisowicz did not appear for a planned deposition hearing on Tuesday and a warrant for his arrest was issued. 
 
Douglas County Sheriff Chris Degase says Leonard Scislowicz, 56, was arrested after a recent grand jury indictment.  
 
The charge is, forcible sodomy- deviate sexual intercourse by force or compulsion in connection with an alleged offense on Jan. 13. 
 
He had been free on a $10,000 bond, but the new warrant allows no bond until after a bond hearing.
