SWMO: Dense Fog Advisory in effect Until 10 am Wednesday

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Observations over the region indicate increasingly foggy conditions. Visibility is expected to fall to a quarter mile or less again today.
A Dense Fog Advisory in effect for southwest Missouri until 10 am Wednesday

Missouri counties under this advisory are: Benton-Vernon-St. Clair-Hickory-Barton-Cedar-Polk-Dallas-Laclede-Texas-Dent-Jasper-Dade-Greene-Webster-Wright-Newton-Lawrence-Christian-Douglas-Howell-Shannon-McDonald-Barry-Stone-Taney-Ozark-Oregon-

Observations and web cams over the region  indicate increasingly foggy conditions. Over south central Missouri, the higher elevation terrain is already likely  experiencing dense fog, especially along Highway 60. Over southeast Kansas and west central Missouri, dense fog is also becoming increasingly more widespread.

The visibility will frequently drop below a quarter of a mile.

Driving will be become increasingly difficult and potentially hazardous.
