BAXTER COUNTY, Ar. -- A woman who escaped from a patrol car in Baxter County turned herself in Sunday afternoon.

BAXTER COUNTY, Ar. -- Baxter County authorities need your help locating a woman who escaped from the back of a sheriff deputy's patrol car.

It happened around 1 p.m. this afternoon on State Highway 126 near Carson Creek in the Whiteville area.

A woman who identified herself as 42-year-old Brandi Vanamberg was taken into custody for outstanding warrants through the sheriff's office.

She was hand-cuffed and placed into the back of the patrol car.

Vanamberg told the deputy she had some personal property stored underneath a bridge and asked him to get it for her.

He agreed, but as he walked under the bridge to retrieve the items, Vanamberg rolled down the back window and climbed out of the patrol car -- still in cuffs.

Deputies believe she entered a wooded area to the West of the roadway.

Several deputies and officers began a search for Vanamberg, but have not been successful in tracking her down.

A witness told police a woman matching her description came out of the woods and was picked up by a motorcycle.

She is approximately 5'5" tall, 125 pounds and has dark hair. She was last seen wearing blue jean shorts, a white t-shirt, and gray tennis shoes.

If you have any information about the whereabouts of Brandi Vanamberg, please contact police.
