Woman Charged After Setting House on Fire, Putting Infant Outside

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A woman is now charged after setting a house on fire Wednesday. Markayla L. Lutz is now charged with arson, child abuse, and child endangerment.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A woman is now charged after setting a house on fire Wednesday. Markayla L. Lutz is now charged with arson, child abuse, and child endangerment.  

Police Lt. Robert Pitts says police were called to a house in the 2100 block of N. Delaware about 5:15 Wednesday evening.  
They arrested the woman after she allegedly put her infant child in a baby carrier and took it outside the house, then set the house on fire.

Lutz underwent mental evaluation after police say she set a house on fire Wednesday. She put her infant child outside the house before starting the blaze.
