SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A woman who was found guilty of embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Andy Williams Moon River Theater, has now admitting hiding those fund to void income taxes.

According to U.S. Attorney Tammy Dickinson, Dawn Cleveringa, 59, of Branson pleaded guilty Tuesday in Springfield federal court to tax evasion.

Cleveringa was the controller of the Andy Williams Theater from 1992 to 2009.
She was convicted in 2012 of stealing more than $678,000 from the Moon River Theater.  Prosecutors accused her of manipulating accounts to cover up the theft.

She served a 60 day shock jail sentence and has been on probation.

The federal charges cover only the taxes evaded on the $678,000. She admitted that she failed to include some of the embezzled income on her federal income tax return.

Sentencing will be held later, but Cleveringa faces up to three years in federal prison without parole, plus a fine up to $250,000 and restitution.
