The Nikkei soared 237 points today in Tokyo.
On Wall Street, the Dow dropped 35 points Wednesday.
The Nasdaq gained 6.

A Federal Reserve survey finds that severe winter weather held back economic growth in much of the nation from January through early February.
Despite that, conditions improved in most U.S. regions, helped by slight gains in areas such as employment and commercial real estate.

And a federal jury has found two men guilty of economic espionage.
The defendants  were accused of stealing Dupont Company's method for making titanium oxide.
The chemical earns $17 billion a year in sales worldwide and is used to whiten everything from cars to the middle of Oreo cookies.

Performance at work may be improved by having a treadmill desk.
A yearlong study of finance workers at a company in Minnesota, found that the productivity of 40 treadmill users dropped at first, but within about six months, performance-quality and quantity of work, rose steadily.
But two recent studies have shown that treadmill walking reduces  a person's accuracy in fine-motor tasks, such as typing and mouse-clicking.

Facebook has unveiled new "enforcement efforts" related to the sale of "regulated items," including guns, on its site. A Facebook spokeswoman said, "private sellers of firearms in the U.S. will not be permitted to specify 'no background check required,' nor can they offer to transact across state lines, without a licensed firearms dealer."
