New Walking Trail Debuting Today Through MSU

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- It's National Walking Day and adults nationwide are being encouraged to make to the pledge to start walking to improve their health.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- It's National Walking Day and adults nationwide are being encouraged to make to the pledge to start walking to improve their health.

To celebrate, Missouri State University and Walk Springfield will unveil plans for a new walking path through campus.
The project is designed to encourage heart-healthy living and will have interactive features along the walk route.

That announcement will be made at noon in the Foster Recreation Center.

With the addition of the route through the campus, Springfield now has 35 official walking trails.
