RIDGEDALE, Mo. – In a matter of days, the public can get their first shot at Top of the Rock Golf Course.

Once the tournament set up is broken down, the course will open in a week. Its not just a day on the course, its a whole Ozarks experience.

"We are grateful he's brought it here. Another, new adventure for northwest Arkansas. Another great reason to come up here to the Ozarks and enjoy it," says Susan Leghorn, from Rogers, Arkansas.

Mike Roberts and Leghorn are talking about Johnny Morris' Top of the Rock.

"The views are fabulous, the topography, and the way they fit everything in, its astounding. Its not going to be your typical par three that's for sure," says Roberts.

After the first ever Big Cedar Legends of Golf tournament, the Par-3 course will open to the public on June 16.

"We have nine par threes that we think are unique and bring their own challenges."

Top of the Rock Course Pro Eric Smith spent seven years in Michigan but says when this opportunity came up for him it was a no brainer.

"When you get here and see it, you'll see what its all about," Smith explains.

Smith says the course will cost $175 to play a full 18 holes.

"Prices for 18 holes with cart, it also includes our unbelievable cave trail, as well as our Arnold Palmer practice facility and the Himalayas putting course, all of that is $175 riding."

Instead of just playing golf, its an all day affair.

"Come relaxed and wanting to have a good time. Come out here enjoy yourself and spend a day here and bring your family, bring your friends. I think you'll have the time of a lifetime."

Once you get to the course, Smith says do not let the Par-3 fool you.

"Its a par three and people will look at it as an executive course but its really not. It is the reason the PGA tour came here because its going to test the worlds best."

Aaron Pashia, from Festus, MO, says he agrees.

"Very intimidating, like I said, you are very high up with elevated greens, the greens look very small, tons of traps, its interesting."

Roberts says he has seen the best of the best when it comes to golf, but this is one is of a kind.

"I've been to Augusta, the US Open and some other events. Its different, Augusta is about flowers and everything and there’s a lot of color in the floral and everything. When you look at how this fits into the topography here. It is fabulous."

He is ready to take a swing at it.

"I don’t know how far my ball could bounce off one of these rocks, I guess I'll eventually find out."
