News events in the Ozarks happening Wednesday, August 27
MoDOT will close lanes on Highway 65 at Farmer’s Branch Bridge, north of Ozark, starting tonight.
Both northbound lanes on Rt. 65 will be shifted to a new bridge in the median after 7 p.m.
According to MoDOT, one northbound lane will be closed during traffic shifts between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. The driving lanes will be narrowed on northbound Rt. 65 after the shift.

The ribbon will be cut today on the new Jordan Valley Community Health Center medical and dental clinic and WIC office in Republic, Missouri.  The ceremony is at noon.  The clinic is a partnership with the Springfield-Greene County Health Department's WIC.  The office is at 550 E. Harrison.

The 11th annual Show Me Summit on Aging and Health is underway at Lake of the Ozarks.  It is the largest forum on aging in the state of Missouri, bringing in about 350 attendees.
The Summit will touch on elder abuse, financial exploitation, the 2014 elections and candidates positions on issues affecting seniors, and provides certification and testing for nursing home administrators and social workers.
