News events in the Ozarks happening Tuesday, August 26
Senator Claire McCaskill will be in Springfield today.
She'll be at Custom Metalcraft to talk about job creation and the export-import bank.
The bank  helps to finance foreign sales of U.S. products through loan guarantees, direct loans, and credit insurance.
That meeting will take place at 2:45.
McCaskill will also be in West Plains this afternoon to announce the expansion of her veterans satisfaction survey to southeast Missouri.

Craig Michael Wood will be in court in Springfield for a pre-trial conference this morning.
He'll be back in court in October when the judge will consider whether a change of venue should be granted.
Wood is charged with the kidnapping and murder of 10-year-old Hailey Owens earlier this year.

Jason Shuck will also be in court today.
He's the former Springfield Police officer charged with third degree assault for shooting Eric Butts in May.
Shuck was trying to question Butts about panhandling when he ran away and was shot.
According to the probable cause statement, Shuck said he meant to use his taser.
Shuck will be arraigned at 1.

Construction starts today on a parking lot project at City Government Plaza in Springfield.
The project is meant to improve stormwater management by reducing runoff.
The east driveway of the public parking lot will be closed until next week, but you can still park in the lot.
The public lot will close September 8th.
That project should be finished by November.
