Sycamores Beat Up Battered Bears

Indiana State beats Missouri State 70-55.
TERRE HAUTE, Ind--Before Wednesday night's Missouri State game at Indiana State, Bears coach Paul Lusk announced that Marcus Marshall will miss the rest of the season.

Surgeons repaired the meniscus in Marshall's right knee, but the damage was bad enough that he won't be ready to play until next year.

In our Bear Nation report, Missouri Sstate hit the hardwood in Terre Haute without Marshall or senior Keith Pickens.

Paul Lusk starting sophomore Gavin Thurman in Marshall's place.

Jarmar Gulley stepping up to try to fill the offensive void, he pulls up from 15 feet and Bears on top.

But not for long, Demetrius Moore with the three pointer and it's 6-2 Sycamores.

Missouri State trying to keep pace, Dorrian Williams three is off the mark, but Gulley is there for the putback, it's a 3 point game.

Indiana State playing tough dee, here Dawon Cummings s the steal and the slam dunk, it was 13-6 Sycamores.

Then Indiana State with the inbounds pass to Khristian Smith with the basket, two of his 14 points.

Bears freshman Devon Thomas stepping up as well, he takes it into the trees for the hoop and the foul, Missouri State still down 11, Thomas had nine points and four rebounds.

Gulley with the nifty move here in the second half, he led all scorers with 16 points and six rebounds, but Indiana State hands the Bears their second straight loss 70-55.
