FAIR GROVE, Mo. -- The Greene County sheriff says a man's death could possibly be the result of foul play.

Sheriff Jim Arnott announced on Wednesday night that 52-year-old Curtis Alan Parker was found dead in a wooded area on Parker's property in the 9200 block of State Highway E in Fair Grove.

Parker had been reported missing earlier Wednesday, after family members could not contact him.

Deputies called in the Missouri State Highway Patrol's helicopter to search for Parker.  After the helicopter crew spotted what appeared to be a body, Greene County detectives then went through the woods and found Parker.

The sheriff said investigators they found some things that appeared suspicious inside of the victim's home.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine Parker's cause of death, and the investigation continues.
