Summer Meals Program Feeds Begins Monday

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- Even though school is out for the summer, Springfield students can continue to receive nutritious meals in June through the summer Food Service Program.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- Even though school is out for the summer, Springfield students can continue to receive nutritious meals in June through the summer Food Service Program.

Beginning June 2 any child age 18 and under may receive free breakfast and lunch at eight Springfield Public Schools locations.

The program ends when summer school concludes.

Children do not need to be enrolled in summer school to participate but they must be accompanied by an adult.

Meal program schedule:

Elementary school sites: Breakfast and lunch will be served Monday-Thursday, June 2-26.

Middle school sites: Breakfast and lunch will be served Monday-Thursday, June 2-26 and lunch-only will be served on Fridays, June 6, 13, 20 and 27.

High school sites: Breakfast and lunch will be served Monday-Friday, June 2-27.
