SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- Approximately $3.5 million in repairs and renovations will be completed this summer at Springfield area schools.

Now that school is out, summer repairs are in full swing at Springfield Public Schools.

Approximately 75 major maintenance repairs will be completed during the summer months at 36 SPS buildings, including 31 schools.

“We keep a revolving schedule of repairs at the sites and each year, we do an assessment,” said Dave Bishop, director of building services. “We sift what we see at the sites through a safe, dry and healthy assessment process. We determine our needs through that process, and those projects get funded first. Everything else falls below that line.”

Approximately $3.5 million in major maintenance repairs will be completed by the end of August.

See attached list of schools scheduled for repairs.
