SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A registered sex offender in Springfield was federally indicted by a federal grand jury Tuesday for receiving and distributing child pornography over the Internet.

Anthony Richard Salois, 47, of Springfield, was charged with receiving and distributing child porn over the Internet between Sept. 16 and 20, 2013 and being in possession of child porn on Oct. 10, 2013.

As part of the indictment, a forfeiture allegation requires Salois to forfeit to the government two desktop computers and 121 optical media.

Because Salois has a prior state conviction for sexual abuse involving a minor, a conviction would subject him to a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison without parole.
