Springfield Police Search for Two Suspects in Bank Robbery

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- Springfield police are searching for two bank robbery suspects that fled the scene just before 12 pm Mar. 22 at Guaranty Bank.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- Springfield police are searching for two bank robbery suspects that fled the scene just before 12 pm Mar. 22 at Guaranty Bank.

According to the SPD and an FBI press release, one man walked into the Guaranty Bank at 1905 W. Kearney St. and handed the teller a note demanding money while another stood at the door and kept lookout. 

The teller gave the man an unspecified amount of money from the bank.

The man then ran across the street to the Dillons supermarket on W. Kearney St. and jumped into a vehicle described as a Ford SUV that is tan or taupe in color driven by an accomplice.

The first suspect is described as a white male with a thin build in a dark jacket with blue jeans and a dark ball cap.

The second is described as a white male approximately 45 years of age around  5’10” with a medium build with brown to graying hair wearing a gray Army warm up jacket, blue jeans, pull on work boots, ball cap with coiled snake emblem, and dark sunglasses.

The men did not use any weapons and no one was hurt during the crime.

Guaranty Bank is offering a reward for information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect for this crime.

This is an ongoing case and we will have more information as it is released.
