Springfield Cardinals Drop Game to Misisons

SPRINGFIELD, Mo--Cardinals lose two games of three against the Missions.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Springfield Cardinals closing out their three game series agianst the San Antonio Missions Saturday at Hammons Field.

The Cards split the first two games and looking to take the series Saturday.

Bottom of the fifth Cards James Ramsey drills one over the head of the left fielder.

Springfield's Mike O'Neil comes home to score. As Ramsey hustles all the way to third for a tripple. That puts Springfield up 3-2.

Same inning. Carl Smith hits a grounder to the left side and Ramsey gets tagged out on the play at the plate.

To the top of the sixth. Cardinals lefty Danny Miranda with the wild pitch. Bridger Hunt scores from third and the Missions take the 4-3 lead right back.

San Antonio with some more offense in the sixth as Jerry Sullivan hits a bouncer up the middle. Matt Williams can't handle it and Travis Jankowski scores.

The Missions win it 6-3.
