Snow, Williams Honored By Valley

Missouri State Lady Bears Tyonna Snow and Kenzie Williams were named Honorable Mention All-Valley.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Missouri State Lady Bears are off to the Missouri Valley womens post season tournament.

And they're heading to St. Charles with a couple of post season award winners.

In our Bear Nation report, Tyonna Snow and Kenzie Williams were named honorable mention All-Valley.

Snow was also put on the Valley's All-Defensive team.

As the Lady Bears bus pulled out of JQH Arena Wednesday afternoon they were hoping to leave some baggage behind, specifically six losses in the last seven games played.

They open up the Valley tournament Thursday night against Southern Illinois.

The Lady Bears swept the Salukis this season.

"We talked to our players, it is 0-0.  Every coach in the country is saying that right now," said Lady Bears coach Kellie Harper.  "But I think what you do now is go over and you learn from the entire season.  And I think the biggest key to winning in the tournament is to be mentally tough."

"Right now we have the momentum and we believe in ourself enough.  With our coaching staff behind us knowing that we can do it.  It makes everything easier," said Tyonna Snow.
