NIXA, Mo. -- A second grade student helped a national company come up with a new product.

Malena Fleming wrote to Pepperidge Farm as part of a class assignment.  She suggested the company create a new Goldfish crackers, with strawberry flavoring.

Fleming received response from the company, along with its new strawberry shortcake goldfish!  Fleming was one of the first people in the U.S. to try the new snack.

The class assignment had students write various companies, and make one suggestion that the student thought would make a product better.
