Christian County Sheriff Releases Name of Murder Victim

OZARK, Mo. -- A man from Niangua, Missouri has been identified as the homicide victim found Friday near Chadwick, Missouri.

Christian County Sheriff Joey Kyle Monday identified the man as Christopher L Younes, 35.

Younes' body was found on a gravel road just off Christian County Route H about late morning Friday.

Kyle has not commented on how Younes was killed or whether there are any suspects in the case.

 CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Mo.--The body found on H5 just south of Chadwick has been identified, but has not been released.

According to a press release by Christian County Sheriff Joey Kyle, Christian County deputies have identified the body found on H5 south of Chadwick yesterday, June 6 but as of this time are not releasing the information.

People of interest have been located and interviews are being conducted but there have been no arrests at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.

CHADWICK, Mo. - Investigators are working the scene of a suspected homicide south of Chadwick, according to Christian County Sheriff Joey Kyle.

The body, found around 11 a.m. Friday alongside a gravel road just off Christian County H, is identified as a male thought to be in his mid-30s, Kyle said.

Cause of death is not yet known, but it is being treated as a homicide.

No ID was discovered on the body and detectives are searching the regional area for any reports of missing persons fitting the description.

"The coroner will probably order an autopsy during the next day or so," says Kyle in an email statement. "Division of Drug and Crime Control investigators have also been requested from the Missouri State Highway Patrol to assist with manpower."
