Severe Weather Possible Sunday Through Tuesday

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- There is a substantial risk for severe weather in Missouri Sunday into Tuesday.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Severe Storms Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma says there is a substantial risk for severe weather in Missouri Sunday into Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service in Springfield, severe thunderstorms are expected to develop across the Plains Sunday.

Forecasts are for widespread storm development to be likely over the central Plains region during the afternoon. 
These storms may move into the Ozarks Sunday night.

Then the potential for severe thunderstorms is expected to develop out of the Rockies and across the region including southeastern Kansas and the Missouri Ozarks on Monday and may last into Tuesday.  Large hail and damaging winds expected along with isolated tornadoes will be possible.

The forecast for these storms is expected to become more clear later Friday and Saturday, so stay tuned to the latest weather information regarding this potential of severe weather.
