Seahawks Cruise in Super Bowl 48

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J.--In a league that has become so much about offense, when it came down to the best offense in Denver and the best Defense in Seattle, who would prevail? Well, Super Bowl 48 had the answers.
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J.--In a league that has become so much about offense, when it came down to the best offense in Denver and the best Defense in Seattle, who would prevail? Well, Super Bowl 48 had the answers.

The first half really couldn't have gone worse for the Broncos. A nightmare start. The very first snap of the game goes over the head of Peyton Manning on a miscue, goes to endzone for a safety. Makes it 2-0 just like that.

Later in the first quarter, Peyton Manning looking for Thomas but finds a Seahawk. Kam Chancelor with the pick. And the disaster game continues for the Broncos.

That sets up a one yard beast mode touchdown from Marshawn Lynch. Seahawks up 15-0.

Denver driving, but not for long Peyton's hit in the drop back and Malcolm Smith 69 yards on the pick six. 22-0 Seattle at the half.

The Broncos would finally score in the final seconds of the third quarter. Demaryius Thomas touchdown reception. 36-8 Seattle.

But it would be too much to over come even for Peyton. Seattle gets their first championship in franchise history. 43-8 the final.
