SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A nonprofit hopes to raise awareness about pediatric cancer.

The group Nellie's Catwalk for Kids is touring the country in an RV, and stopped at Missouri State University Tuesday.

It visits high schools and colleges, where cancer awareness ribbons are distributed.

The organization is also trying to put on fashion shows in each city it visits.

"This organization is built up of kids, teens and young adults passionate about raising a voice for these families, so we really want people to be aware of who we are, and what they can do to make an impact," says founder Nellie Krumlauf.

September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. The RV is visiting about a dozen cities across the country.
