Republic Collars Carl Junction In Sectionals

Republic beats Carl Junction in boys quarterfinals 77-69.
NIXA, Mo--In Class 4, the Republic Tigers know what this March Madness is all about.

Last year, the Tigers won a state championship in Trevyor Fisher's first year as the head coach.

Republic defended it's district title and now the 24-4 Tigers faced Carl Junction. 

The Bulldogs from Carl Junction were looking for their 20th win of the season, and a major upset.

Republic's Brock Yocum curls off the screen and splashes the three pointer, it's 5-nothing Tigers.

Carl Junction taking it inside to Aaron Nelson and he's working hard on the block and gets the basket,  it's a 5-3 game.

The Tigers Yocum with a big game, another three pointer and Republic was up 8-3.

The Bulldogs Nelson showing he has some range, the junior hits the three pointer, it's a two point game.

But Republic was strong, the inbounds to Cody Geiger who finishes with the baby hook it's 10-6 Tigers.

Then the Tigers Dillen Ramsey with the pick and roll and the basket, 12-8 after one.

And Republic goes onto win 77-69, the Tigers will face St. Francis Borgia in the quarters Saturday.
