No Power for Thousands Across Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - With temperatures in the teens across much of the state, power outages are keeping thousands of Arkansans both cold and in the dark.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- With temperatures in the teens across much of the state, power outages are keeping thousands of Arkansans both cold and in the dark.

Entergy Arkansas reported more than 26,500 outages as of 6 this morning. 

Most of those outages are on the state's eastern border with the largest numbers of outages in Phillips and Crittenden counties.

Entegry crews are working throughout the state to restore electricity for thousands of Arkansas who are in the dark.

As of 10:30 p.m. Sunday, roughly 12,000 Entergy customers were without power.  The majority of those outages were in East Arkansas.

Entergy says it was 2,600 workers on standby including 2,000 people brought in from out of state.
