Potential Students Receive Help with FAFSA

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- Potential Students can receive assistance in finding financial aid for continuing education at Missouri State University today, Feb. 23.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- Potential Students can receive assistance in finding financial aid for continuing education at Missouri State University today, Feb. 23.

Missouri State University is hosting a FAFSA Frenzy event in order to help 2014-2015 students file for financial assistance.

Ozark Area Key Financial Aid Professionals (OAKFAP) is partnering up with Community Partnership of the Ozarks and MSU to host the event at Meyer Library from 1pm to 4 pm.

Professionals will be at MSU to help families fill out FAFSA forms and provide financial guidance counseling.

The ask students to bring these important documents in order to receive assistance:

•The FAFSA Personal Identification Number (PIN) for the student and at least one parent. If you do not have a PIN we can help you register for one at the event.


•The valid Social Security Number (SSN) for the student and at least one parent since you will need them to complete the FAFSA.

•A 2013 tax return, if completed. If not completed, all other information can be entered on the FAFSA, then saved and updated with tax information later.


•General family information including the number in the family household and number in college.


•Income information from other sources or types of income such as child support payments, IRA disbursements, etc.


The event is open to current students, future students, family of students, faculty, staff, community, and visitors.
