Police Hope Public Will Recognize Robbery Suspect

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Police are turning to the public for help in identifying a man who held up a convenience store in Springfield in early December.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Police are turning to the public for help in identifying a man who held up a convenience store in Springfield in early December.

CRIME STOPPERS and the Springfield Police Department are focusing on the December 4 hold-up of the Kum-n-Go at 1550 N. Glenstone
They released the security photos, above, and this description of the robbery:

"...at approximately 8:15pm, a suspect entered the Kum-n-Go located at 1550 N. Glenstone and approached the front counter. The suspect displayed a handgun and ordered the clerk to give him all of the money. The clerk provided the suspect with currency from the cash register and the suspect then he fled the store on foot.  A SUV was observed leaving the scene at a high rate of speed and was believed to be parked nearby.  The robbery was captured on a video surveillance system.  The suspect from the robbery was a white male wearing a denim jacket with a gray hood, black shirt, jeans, and a baseball cap. The vehicle drove south in front of Casey’s then turned onto Division. Police investigators are seeking  help from the public in identifying the suspect in the pictures below.  This investigation is still on-going at this time."
