Pleasant Hope Man Pleads Guilty to Child Sex Charges

POLK COUNTY, Mo. – A Pleasant Hope man pleaded guilty to child sex crime charges while in court on Friday.
POLK COUNTY, Mo. – A Pleasant Hope man pleaded guilty to child sex crime charges while in court on Friday.

According to Polk County Prosecuting Attorney Kenneth Ashlock, Stanley D. Campbell, 69, of Pleasant Hope, plead guilty to first-degree statutory sodomy with a person less than 14 years of age and first-degree child molestation.

Because Campbell’s case was a change-of-venue case from Polk County, his plea was heard in Hickory County.

A sentencing hearing will be held in Hickory County on Sept. 19, 2014.
