Plane to KCI Investigated for Onboard Threat

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- An American Eagle flight from Chicago to Kansas City, Missouri was met by law enforcement Thursday night.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. --  An American Eagle flight from Chicago to Kansas City, Missouri was met by law enforcement Thursday night.

The plane landed safely at Kansas City International Airport.

An airport spokesman says something happened during the flight that was perceived as a threat.

Upon arrival, passengers were bused to the terminal.

The plane was taken to a remote area of the airport so authorities could search the aircraft.

There were 63 passengers and four crew members on board.
