SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The PGA Tour Wives Association partnered with Convoy of Hope Wednesday to help provide groceries to those in need.

They met up at the Convoy of Hope warehouse in Springfield, where the group packed up about 300 bags of groceries for upcoming community outreach events.

The PGA Tour Wives Association's mission is to help children in need and their families.

They chose to work with Convoy of Hope during their time in town for the Price Cutter Charity Championship Tournament.

"We wanted to leave our footprints on the community and be able to give back, so the tournament got us in touch with Convoy of Hope and we realize that they shared the same mission statement as us...helping people in need and then children,” says Kelly Bettencourt, VP of Fundraising with PGA Tour Wives Association. “So it was just a great fit for us to partner together."

The Convoy of Hope is one of 46 charities that will benefit from the tournament this year.

They have been involved with the tournament for nine years.
